Death- the ultimate punishment

There are many definitions of Capital punishment: putting a condemned person to death, the killing of a person by judicial process as a punishment for an offense or punishment by death.

State's unresolved moral dilemma over executions

The death penalty still remains to be one of the biggest issues in this country, especially in California. Some U.S. states are trying to place a moratorium on Capital Punishment or trying to abolish the death penalty all together in order to cut costs. Maybe having capital cases are expensive, but what about the cost of keeping an incarcerated person who has committed a crime or even multiple crimes? Placing a moratorium or abolishing the death death penalty may help states save money, but with no death penalty, criminals are sentenced to life in prison. And that just goes back to the question of how much will it cost to house an inmate? By having the death penalty many things can be prevented and a lot of money can be saved, providing that the order of the court is carried out in a timely manner.
